1. VOAC Proposal – 4701 Lydell Road
Decision Required: What position to take

The Mayor and Council found that a proposal was being proffered to locate a Federal Prisoner half-way house in the Cheverly Industrial Park.  The Mayor has had conversations with the group making the proposal.  The City of Greenbelt successfully argued that a commercial building cited in their community for the same purpose was not zoned for such a use.

2. Grant Request – FLBD Grant Request
Decision Required: Whether to approve.
        
The grant request for consideration was provided at a previous meeting and clarification was needed as to additional construction (see attached).

3. Spellman PTA Grant Request
Decision Required: Whether to approve.

Attached is the grant request.

4. Discussion – Vest Camera Updates
Decision Required: Whether to make a budget adjustment.

The Town Administrator will present to the Mayor and Town Council an upgrade to the current vest cameras used by the Cheverly Police Department.  The upgraded cameras will have features to allow for automatic turn-on, automatic download and in car recording while transporting suspects.

5. Smell Reporting
Decision Required: None.

6. Zone Parking
Decision Required: None.

The Mayor has added this item and will address.  

7. Discussion FY16 Audit
Decision Required: None.

The Audit was distributed at the November Town Meeting and answers to all questions provided to date.

8. Holiday Decorating Judging
Decision Required: What date to judge.
        
The Mayor has added this item to the agenda and will address.

9. Appointing a Town Attorney
Decision Required:  A motion to appoint.

The retirement of the Town Attorney requires the Town to officially appoint a Town Attorney to take his position.

10. Budget Adjustment – Police Vehicle Account Attorney
Decision Required:  A motion to make a budget adjustment.

See attached memorandum regarding the final payment of a 3 year lease-purchase agreement.

11. Residential Curb Access Request – 3006 Parkway
Decision Required:  Whether to allow.

The resident at 3006 Parkway is requesting permission from to the Town to cut the curb to install a ramp to the property.  The Town has never fielded a request of this nature and therefore has no policy or procedure.  The Mayor and Council will discuss the matter

12. Budget Adjustment – Anacostia Trials Membership
Decision Required: Whether to join.

Attached is a letter from the Anacostia Trials group regarding annual membership fees.  A budget adjustment in the amount of $802 is necessary.

Decision Required: Whether to take a position

Attached is the variance request.  The Town can take a position to; oppose, support or take no position.
